Sew your own Christmas table runners and make your festive feast fabulous!

It is more exciting to have your meal with your friends and family when the table is also festooned with Christmas spirit! Decorating your table is much easier than you think, and these table runners we've pictured are from some of our customers!

Table runners are most often used to make table decorations more visually appealing, as they help to define seating arrangements PLUS they look gorgeous when paired with matching handmade placemats.

Traditionally, a table runner is placed lengthwise down the centre of your dining room table, and you can place it directly on top of your table or layer it up on top of a plain tablecloth. When you sew a decorative table runner in a shorter length than the table, place it in the centre of the table to bring focus to the season!

Some may wonder if a table runner is practical, and I can say categorically YES!  Table runners are both gorgeously decorative AND practical! They not only allow your table legs to remain visible for an airier effect, but they also ensure your table is protected from hot dishes and liquid stains from glasses.

Make your own Christmas Stockings!

I'm sure your kids and grandkids will love their very own Christmas stockings, which can be passed down through generations. You can even pop their names on them. They will be surely excited for their gifts from Santa!

When did stockings become a Christmas tradition? Apparently, a
s far back as 1823, when Clement Clarke Moore (or possibly Henry Livingston Jr.) wrote “A Visit From Saint Nicholas,” stockings were hung near the fireplace, awaiting a visit from Santa Claus. See the end of this blog for a link to more info about the origins of Christmas stockings.

Christmas Ornaments

Christmas Ornaments are not only fun to make, they're also fun to hang year after year, and make wonderful traditions with your family, that get passed on for generations. They're not just for the branches of your Christmas tree, but also string ornaments up in a window, across a mantle piece, or bookshelf, along a bedhead, above a curtain railing.
